1.2.     Switching one step in basic with a Replacement step for leader

1.3.     Switching one step in basic with a Replacement step for follower

1.4.     Repeated figure elements -> generates B-S-F-S…. for follower

 

2.       Musicality (quick treatment)

2.1.     Relationships between music, embrace, choice of step (parallel, replacement)

2.1.1.   Maybe simple, parallel steps for ‘sweet’ part of music

2.1.2.   When do followers have time to express themselves?

2.1.3.   Sacadas, replacement for ‘dramatic’ part 

2.2.     Exercise: Listen to music and try various step/embrace styles

3.       Step Definitions:

3.1.     Frames of reference: room/couple

3.2.     Open, Inside Cross, Outside Cross

3.3.     Exercise: Call out examples (e.g. OR-OL, OR-IXR, OR-IXL, etc.

4.       Transitions between Figure Elements (4 x 3 = 12 possibilities)

4.1.     Parallel Left -> Replacement Left (e.g. Follower’s OL-> follower’s XR)

4.2.     Parallel Left -> Replacement Right (e.g. Follower’s OL-> follower’s OR)

4.3.     Parallel Left -> Parallel Right

4.4.     Replacement Right -> Parallel Left

5.       Changes of direction

5.1.     Follower has 2 steps. Always O->O (1 possibility for each direction)or X->X (4 possibilities  for each direction ) produces direction change. O->X or X->O always continues a direction.

5.2.     For each of the follower’s 5 possibilities, the leader has 3 choices.  15 possibilities total per direction.

5.3.     E.g., parallel left -> parallel right

5.3.1.   How many ways can this be done? (15)

5.3.2.  Exercise: O->O change (3 possibilities)

5.3.3.  Exercise:  IX->OX (3 possibilities)

5.3.4.  IX->IX, OX->OX, OX->IX

5.4.      turn to left -> turn to right

5.4.1.   How many ways can this be done? (15)

5.4.2.   Repeat  exercises from 6.3 for turns.
